New visual identity

High Court Enforcement Group (HCE Group) is the largest independent and privately owned enforcement company in England and Wales and has been a client of Scaramanga’s for a number of years. We have worked with them over this time to develop their brand values and marketing strategy, which we have been implementing with impressive results.

Their existing identity was very blue and typically corporate and although we had developed a fair amount of marketing collateral for them, we had been somewhat constrained by the fact that there is no clear visual identity for the business. Their literature was very generic and you could have easily swapped their logo with another company and not noticed.

As a result, we recommended looking at the visual identity, as well as their brand values, the desired business objectives.

Initially, the requirement was to create a very strong visual identity that would work with the existing logo, create strong brand recognition and raise the profile of the brand, however, as the project developed it was clear that the tired logo required a rethink – especially as we were commissioned to develop the identity of Excel Civil Enforcement and National Eviction team.

Our approach was to create a graphic illustration, that was bold and unmistakably HCE. These patterns reflect the angular shape of the original logo and create a strong identity that (whether you love it or hate it) you won’t forget.

Since the signed off in January 2018, we have been working hard to update their collateral. On 14th March, we launched the new brand, having updated all of the graphics on the website, created new newsletter templates, stationery, event and exhibition stands, HTML eShots and a new corporate brochure.Over the coming weeks, we will be continuing until the project is completed with the update of event leaflets, a suite of advertisements and new covers for eBooks. As well as continuing to manage all their marketing activity across multiple media.
