Scaramanga has been working in partnership with Control Energy Costs since mid-2019, to help reposition their brand by developing and implementing a marketing strategy to reach their business growth targets.

Completing the visual identity

With the branding project completed, their old website was left feeling disconnected from their new visual identity. The website had duplicate content, an over complicated navigation system and the imagery used wasn’t reflective of their new branding or how they wanted to present themselves.

They are trusted industry experts and their cluttered website and silhouette graphics didn’t represent the open, transparent, forward thinking business that they are.

Scoping the website project

With a deadline of the end of January, we only had a couple of months to deliver their new website, so the Scaramanga team got straight to work. We were fully versed with the who, why, when and what as we had already facilitated branding workshops.

Therefore, the first stage for this project was to analyse the website’s content and identify the business goals. This initial planning helps us to map out user journeys and to develop a site map, which ultimately shapes the way we approach the design.

Creating the design and content

The new design we created for Control Energy Costs has been shaped around the content which we have carefully rewritten to resonate with the target audiences. And, like the identity, the design for the website is confident, clear, and informative – which matches Control Energy Costs’ brand characteristics.

The technical website build

Technically, the website has been built with:

  • A truly mobile first approach
  • A focus on developing a robust SEO strategy
  • A Content Management System that is easy to use and has a minimal learning curve for the client
  • Scalability in mind so it can evolve over time
  • An approach that places page load speed at the centre of the development – just visit the website to see how blazingly fast it is

Testimonials

Just to acknowledge all your hard work on the website – you have done an excellent job and we are delighted with the result. Initial feedback from everyone here is very positive and we now have a website that we can all be very proud of. Phil Ager Managing Director

The successful outcome

What the Control Energy Costs website achieves above and beyond its technical accomplishments is the fact that it provides Control Energy Costs with the credibility they deserve. When a potential customer visits the website (perhaps from being exposed to the brand elsewhere through our marketing campaigns), they look like they are ready to do business.

It is always a pleasure to work with the Control Energy Costs’ team and we love nothing more than to see a client going from strength to strength.

Now they are spending less energy worrying about their brand and website, they can spend more time saving you money on your business energy bills.
